Spanish Sahara

General Information:

Until 1976 the Western Sahara was a Spanish Territory (Sahara Espanol) and used the Spanish license plate system.
In 1976 the Spanish Sahara was divided between Mauretania and Morocco (Morocco introduced the town code 77).
Mauretania withdraw itself in August 1979 from this area and their part was then annexed by Morocco.
