Often the official license plate was added to the bottom part of the oval (with a maximum of 4 positions only), which is a good indication of the age of the oval.

Cast alluminium. Early plate with incorporated S. This is an unofficial addition by the owners, but allowed as long as the plate itself conformed to the required specifications.

Unofficial plate on older cars, mostly American models.Owner provided plates and even stickered ones were seen.These are not legal, but appearantly tolerated.
Translation: "Historical Vehicle" and "The Land of the Midnight Sun".
